About Christine McQueen
I have been in love with photography as long as I can remember.
There is something about capturing that one special moment that drives me. Being a mum I know how quickly our children grow up and eventually leave the nest. I want to give families the opportunity to get that expensive portrait at a reachable price.
I am a photographer based in the Far North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, near some of the most beautiful scenery. I am an avid lover of nature and natural settings, and works exquisitely in this environment with the goal of creating images that will become your most precious treasures for years to come.
I attended photography classes at Northern Rivers Community College in NSW, as well as the National Geographic photography workshop in Santa Fe, USA under the guidance of renowned photography instructors Joe McNally, Jerry Courvoisier, and Carlan Tapp. While attending Northern Rivers Community College, she won first place in photography section in the Northern Rivers Art Awards of 2005.
- Digital artwork titled “Flowery Bubbles” was highly commended at the Northern Rivers Art Awards.
- Kodak selected my work, and it was shown as “Kodak’s Picture of the Day” at Times Square in New York City.
- In 2006 I was the Grand Prize winner of the 2006 National Geographic Channel, Asia Sony in Focus International Photo Contest.
- In 2007 I was selected as a finalist for the ‘Photography Vibes’ contest and her work was published in the ‘Photography Vibes’ book in 2007.
- 2007: Five images were selected as semi-
finalists in the Shell Wildlife UK competition - 2007: I won various awards in local shows, as well as a Grand Prize Award, called the People Choice award. Voted by the viewers.
- 2008 First Place in Portrait Section at Alstonville Show.
- 2010 was selected as a finalist for the “Photography Vibes” contest and my work was published in the “Photography Vibes” book.
